BISS IP Filter dats / SP Lists Sources List FAQThe Emule IP Filters and Safepeer SPLists available from Blocklist Pro are in two different flavours, the Normal [ NIP filter.dat.gz - SPList.zip ] and the Paranoid [ PIPfilter.dat.gz - PSPlist.zip ]. The Paranoid lists contain almost all the avaliable BISS Blocklists in one the file, while the Normal list contains only the core main lists. Each IP Filter.dat / SPlist combines a wide range of BISS Blocklists, all of which are pre-merged into one file and converted into selected formats for your convenience using our Blocklist Manager software. All IP address range names for the IPfilter.dat and Splist files are also kept to a minimum [ using the BLM ], being restricted to a 10 character comment length to help reduce the overall file sizes. Another unique Blocklist Manager feature allows us to merge all adjacent IP ranges together to help minimise overall file sizes and help improve the efficiency of IP blocking programs. Because the IPfilter files have been processed this way, the Paranoid IPfilter has a smaller file size than the Normal IPfilter. Even though the Paranoid list contains more IP ranges, there are more ranges that can be condensed or merged together... The IPFilter.dat files are converted into Emule [DONK] format and the SPLists are in the standard ProtoWall / PGv1 format.. The BISS Sources for each list are as follows:
Normal / NIPfilter.dat / SPlist
Paranoid / PIPfilter.dat / PSPlist
